There hopefully should still be men's spaces left at that point. We usually go over Fri - Mon but you could go later/return earlier if need be.

How long does it take you okies to recover from a whole weekend's dancing? I think I'll have my last two finals exams the week after 30th-2nd, and if I'm going to be narceleptic for ages afterwards, I don't really want to ruin my uni career for the sake of one awesome weekend of dancing.

    What do you think?

Took me nearly a week for the pain to completely go away. Although I did go out on the Monday & Wednesday night straight after.

Depends how much you sleep while your there.

    Exactly!

Last time I got 7 1/2 hours sleep the entire weekend, and no sleep at all on the last night. It took me quite a few days to recover... But it is actually possible to go to bed from time to time, too, if you've got a bit of self discipline (and you're not an insomniac like me!).

I think I'll be taking the going to bed option - being a Southport virgin and not having the stamina of the more experienced...! (they say it's all about technique)

To be fair I think I only finally cracked the perfect all nighter for me at the last SP - which was my 10th! (I think the secret ingredient was plenty of cake from the Little Monkey cafe!)

And if you want to do workshops, then you can't dance all night. Just find the balance of workshops/dancing/sleep that works best for you.

Tip: Bring earplugs and an eye mask, to make it easier to sleep during the day when it's light outside and noisy. Alternatively, bring sleeping tablets. I will - it's the only way I'll get even a couple of hours sleep over the weekend...

Ah yes, The Little Monkey Cafe will of course be open again in June. This time in a chalet VERY CLOSE to the blues room!

And for those of you who can't be @rsed to walk all the way (30 seconds) to my chalet, I might even bring some cakes to the blues room, too. I really am too good to you guys...

I think a combination of block capitals and me reading to quickly, made me read that as:

    PRATS

Hey there naughty lady - glad you're going to Southport but just disappointed I might have to wait until then. We've not danced since the Jive Nites 2nd Anniversary bash - Night Prowler if I remember. I'm feeling a little neglected. Janette is missing DTS too!

Once a night is all us older guys can manage.

Seriously though Saturday not a working night for me so I'm dancing for pleasure only....................... That means I'll be looking for you this time.

Also looking forward to a more regular fix at Southport this time round too. Had to miss last weekender for family things so a bit like a kid in anticipation of Xmas now.

Can I keep the excitement going for 2 months? If so, what state will I be in when I get there? Both questions I'm keen to find the answers for.
