OK,
let's give the assessors (Leaders and Followers) more ammunition in recognising/avoiding/parrying Sleazy moves.
If I'm giggling/ guffawing out loud, it's not sleazy. If I'm giving back as good as I got, it's not sleaze, although it might be completely outrageous . If I am holding your eye contact comfortably and/or beg (demurely of course) for another dance, I am happy that we understand each other so it's not sleazy.
If however, I do the moves with a slightly pained expression, stop smiling, resist close moves or hijack everything you do whilst staring at the ceiling/floor, something ain't right.
We all have different relationships with everybody we dance with. Some common sense and a little social awareness goes a long long way.
PS in the thread that led to this one, when I said "sleazing", I meant "sneezing" .........
New thread please
9days till I post my monthly SF counter to find out how bad I've been.
Twisting my arm won't extract the info, but if you want to contribute towards the choc for Cat fund, then maybe I could be persuaded to divulge something.
But a little birdy tells me there is a mole about.
I know you've all been hanging around waiting for this newsflash.
One month down and two "incidents".
I asked a regular (young) dance partner, "Was that Sleazy"
"Definitely" with a grin as wide as her ears. SF1
Last night I was recounting this thread to a partner and I moved into my penguin with a "here it comes" and stupidly asked at the end. "Factor 5" came the reply. SF6.
But, the other 350 dances without comment have earned me SF-35 (LM, they are my rules!)
Final monthly tally: SF-29.
I'm happy. My 348 partners are assumed to be happy, or at least tolerant.
This is probably my last newsflash. Radio DEP has sacked it's sole newsreader and is closing down.
