You haven't been the only one, check out this thread on them. I got better at them since then .
You don't need much contact but I'd say if you aren't keeping a close centre of mass with your torso then you need to maintain a V shape connection with your legs and hers getting progressively closer together. If your feet are wide apart you'll generally spin out.
I must say I find it dificult to lead penguins without Contact of the inner thighs, It doesn't have to be sleazy though! In Fact I don't think I've ever found it so. If a guy put his hand on My bum Or held me inappropriately then it probably could be classed as sleazy but the sheer nature of the move requires a strong upper body frame and counter balance!
In My opinion not really a sleazy move! I can think of Far worse!!!
I will have to study that thread. I can see form the first few posts, that I've still not got it. Thanks Killing. My way felt nice, damn is that me up to 4.5?
From what's been said earlier the definition of sleaze is tied into what's in the minds of both partners. If the Follower is not comfortable with the move or the Leader then it can easily be sleazy. Similarly if the Follower by some less appropriate movement/gesture/comment implants an uncomfortable thought in the mind of the Leader, he too might not repeat that move with that partner (if his memory is any better than mine).

Me too . But you are right though, I don't think the penguin walk is bad at all. If the follower collapses their frame a lot then it's like a rotating hug and I've got no problems with hugging people either . As a beginner I'd probably have petrified of such contact though.
if you're very gentle and not too ambitious you could lead our first dance, but I am a newcomer to following. Then I can feel what it should be like from the other side. This could take quite a few dances to get right. (goody, as I rub my hands together with an ear to ear grin), forbidden fruit (private joke).
I wouldn't class this as a sleazy move either. I guess though, as with most things, it depends on who's doing it. In beginner classes there are men who can make a basket or a sway seem very uncomfortable or sleazy for a follower - by holding too tightly, an odd glance, a strange comment (things that are tricky to put into words but if you've experienced them you'll know what I mean). So it is possible for people to feel the same about the penguin walk - especially when learning and you're in an awkward, close position for a length of time.
I guess what I'm trying to say it's more the person that can appear sleazy more so than the move.
What about that move where the follow has to straddle the leads thigh?
Actually there is also a drop where ditto.
How far do you ladies go? Do you sit right on the thigh?
a. only if I fancy him
b. only if he forces me
c. if I don't fancy him I hover.
Some very contrasting and lovely wigglesome dances tonight. And I must be doing something right (or is that something wrong) as one lady? finished our dance with a double-handed bumpush !!
That's too much enjoyment. I need to take a share before you become overloaded.We......fell about laughing
Now that I've had time to re-read your experience, how did you manage the escorting back to her seat after the push off?
