Can you please not do so on busy social dancefloors?
It's irritating, it takes up a lot of room, and it's rude.
Social dances are not the right place to practice.
Thank you.
And cabarets. You steal all the good dancers. And from what I've been hearing on some nights, you make the beginners feel uncomfortable.
Perhaps, hun, but those who do, sign up for it and therefore have only themselves to blame. Whereas those who pay to go to ceroc to have a social dance, who might not mind watching during one class, might mind when they have to put up with half their regular class practicing for over a month.
I don't mind personally, as long as it doesn't go on, and on, and on, and on. But sometimes it does, and that's what I mind.
I agree, if people are on the dance floor dancing taking up lots of space and doing moves that get in the way of others - I agree - irritating.
If they want to pay to get into a venue and practice there team cabaret they should do it off the dance floor away from others who are socially dancing!
However, if they WANT to practice and they are not harming anyone, or interrupting others dancing then that's ok (IMO)
As for "stealing" the good dancers, well it is up to the dancers themselves what they do with their time!???

Age is a question of mind over matter, if you don't mind, it doesn't matter

I think you mean practising
I always thought that Ceroc week nights were places to go to learn new modern jive moves and practise them. To me it is a practise floor first, a social one second.
I always thought that getting the best dancers to attend was a good thing. Perhaps I am fortunate in that I have never been prevented from dancing by people dancing. On a few ocassions I have voluntarily stopped in order to watch and be inspired.
For me one of the joys of MJ is the spectrum it covers, and I would like it to stay that way. If the dancefloor is crowded I want them to open another venue.
Ahhhhhh ... the light dawns. The local floors have been taken over by couples doing drop after drop and stretching themselves into strange tango poses havng nthing to do with the music. If what has been on display is any indication of what we can expect at Blackpool it looks like we will once more be treated to the same cornucopia of flash drops instead of DANCING! I wonder if this year, for once, the dancers who actualy dance to the music will come out on top? We live in hope.

Sorry - just realised it is your default setting
Ceroc must make a lot of money out of couples practicing on week nights and at weekends.
I was told by a guy, that they need to practice 5 nights a week to be any good at winning.
