Southport September 2008 booking issue

When I was at Southport in June I tried to book for September, but was too late - discount or no discount.

Re. the discount, I think it works out cheaper not to have the £20 discount, as you have to pay the full amount sooner, when it could be in the bank, earning interest.

It is difficult to see how the interest forgone reduces the value of the discount significantly.
