Re: How great is your venue?- Your chance to rate it!

I wasnt aware the forum had spent £10,000 for Mick S to go away and report back on a rating menu for a venue

Well there' s a nice thought.

Clearly, there are many other factors that could be considered but this was meant to be around getting the basics right. I am not a franchise but in my opinion there are many simple improvements that could be made to venues with relatively little cost or effort, so that everyone benefits.

Give the guy a break I think it was a nice start[/QUOTE]

    Thanks

    I'd go with that...

    Aberdeen Tuesday - Peterculter - 170

Alas that won't be my regular venue any longer !

    It's got a decent floor.
A great teacher (Lisa), a Great DJ (Trampy) , Good friendly crowd (Gadget, Freya, Caro, Genie*, Wuzzle, ... ... Beowulf* et al)
    A Proper bar..

the only thing against it I would say.. is it's a B*gger to get to .. even harder for me now !

    *When available

Well as far as I can see all CerocMetro Venues score max points!

Its all subjective really. What one person likes, the next person dislikes.

Now, where did I put that piece of string?

Seems a lot of people like the cerocmetro venues by the attendance figures From what i understand the opening night at bishops stortford was the second biggest in ceroc history over 170 people and the other venues i attend are all attended well and with a good regular core friendly of people

Actually, as a taxi, maybe you should - because you have both the inside and outside knowledge, and have power to feedback to franchise owners and maybe force them to change the things that can do with "some" improvement...? When our taxi dancers group here complained about the unsuitability of the room at one of the venues for the review - oh, sorry, "practice session", it was rearranged so that the place was set up to be more user-friendly...
Incidentally, Norwich (by the count) went to the top, but, personally, I have given it "a good night" rating - and I am a taxi, too!

I agree but i wouldn't do it on a public forum i would always talk to first the venue manager then the person who is in charge of cerocmetro then if i am still not satisfied would go direct to Adam who i regard as as good friend if he doesnt want to change whatever it is then its his business and not my place to argue.

By the way it seems like you think the same as me about the recent changes to the "practice session"

Yes, I was there on Wednesday! Decent venue, nice people and the teachers are fab. It did get a little crowded at times, but it had a great atmosphere.
