How great is your venue?- Your chance to rate it!

I have been thinking about this for a while, an opportunity to rate your venue.

Clearly, the more people that complete for each venue the more accurate the score is likely to be but should give us an indication of the hot ones and the ones to avoid. May even assist franchises to change somethings.

There's no scope for "extras" - for example, a Blues Room, or "atmosphere" - for example, a super teacher, godlike DJ or whatever...

Crikey - I don't have the time or energy to go through that lot and rate a venue! Losing the will to live...

Besides, so much of it is objective... I like my regular teacher, but she won't be everyone's cup of tea.

The new venues, starting next week, will require re-assessment

Second that. Which venue do we need to avoid Lee? Maybe also options on a good balance of ability? A thing that puts me off a venue is too many beginners. Also need a rating on the amount of sleezy people, dont like the venues where i have to make excuses simply cos i dont want to dance with men who just want an excuse to grope women or put them in tight basket holds that gives them a chance to look down their tops. (the majority of you lovely men are not like this!)

And what about those places that don't use Taxi dancers or Demos, and have the 2 Teacher model? The survey doesn't seem to allow for that.

And what about those venues that are overcrowded already? It wouldn't make sense to mark them well if their attendances are growing, would it?

As Twirly says, it's all objective. I have the best nights out at venues that would score lower on your criteria. I normally find it's down to a mysterious "X Factor" that no survey could ever identify.

Yes, and I can even have a great night and a poor night at the same venue - even on consecutive weeks.

Sarah Whites Jivenights is remarkable and I also love Stevenage.

Cracking venues where playing and experimenting in the medium of dance is not frowned upon.

Full marks for the pair of them.

I scored Rugby a 174. This is maimly due to Marc and Racheal plus a good venue manager in Kirk. With a really friendly crowd. Also a mixed crowd with a high standard usually well attended with average numbers approaching 100.

Hi All I'm new to the forum but not new to Ceroc, and I'll see you all at the Ratpack event in Cannock tonight. In case you haven't made your mind up I think it'll be a good un!
At least 10 of us are going to be there anyway according to the poll.

I wasnt aware the forum had spent £10,000 for Mick S to go away and report back on a rating menu for a venue

Give the guy a break I think it was a nice start

I think Bromley's Civic centre is a good place. A long hall and bar at the back with the fan
