    I knew A.S.Z. was a tone poem but didn't know about it never being played sans breaks.. my CD has tracks as you say. And I'm probably confused about the 'pictures at an exhibition' .. I shouldn't rely on my NAXOS, Hooked on Classics etc etc CD collections too much

    In my defence I had them when I was in early high school..

    These days.. If that's the mood I'm in... I much prefer the Trans Siberian Orchestra Although I do prefer my classics.. erm.. "unadulterated" .. these days

    Bizet - Carmen
    Verdi - Requiem
    Beethoven - String quartets - especially the later ones
    Mahler - Second symphony, also Fifth
    Wagner - Das Ring den Niblungen
