Huh, this is boring - I'm agreeing with you again.
It's one thing to be fully aware that teenagers are fumbling around with each other and even having sex before the age of consent, and actually not to mind; but it's another to permit a situation in which young teenage or younger girls are feeling pressure to be 'sexy'.
It's the Spice Girls and then Britney Spears that are partly responsible for this; I'm reasonably sure that in the old days a management team who realised their talent's primary market demographic was 8 to 12 year old girls would not have allowed them to do concerts, promotional appearances, videos etc dressed like (the conventional image of...) street whores.
Then you have the red-tops who routined publish pictures of young female celebrities' underwear, in order to get which pictures the paps (a deliciously insulting abbreviation, I think) hold their cameras in between the celebs' knees pointing upward as they walk along (a practise that richly deserves the description 'pathetic' - anyone who chooses to make a living doing that deserves to be punched by every self-respecting male) teenage girls on page 3 - my god! It's the decline and fall of western society!
