What style do you prefer to dance?

I'll dance with anyone as long as I'm not injured at the time.

There's a seperate issue though that's worth considering and that's the sort of person that a Forumite "desires to dance with" as opposed to "will dance with".

eg If person A has a very smooth slotted style, then understandably they may prefer to dance with leads who are also smooth and slotted. Person B who wants to bounce like Tigger may prefer a more energetic circular lead. But both may well accept a dance from the other.

Fave : Very, very energetic circular dance to thump, thump music.

However I will dance with anyone (male or female, old or young [retracts comments made about dancing with minors on another thread]). Like to dance as a followerer or lead to any music fast or slow. I'm just not picky at all.

But I still love a thump thump track!

Re: What style do you prefer to dance?

I like it fast and funky. Love don't let me go (preferably mixed with the Egg) is my favourite ever track to dance to, and sums up most of what I like about MJ. I like dancing with the whole of my body (not just being the master pupeteer with arms going all over the place).

I love tango, but have never had the opportunity to dance/ incoperate it into jive. Also really like bluesy music and bluesy dancing, where you can hear the singer's voice tearing and bring it alive on the dancefloor.

So I guess I like to dance with partners who do the same.

All depends on the mood and the music for me (as well as the style of dancing my partner prefers as well).

i have ticked the 'anything' box on the poll as i will dance to anything with anybody and always find it enjoyable... although i still have my favourites.. my forte would have to be blues but with some wcs footwork in for good measure... something you can really take your partner with you and both get lost in the track...

The nice thing about Ceroc being a fusion of styles already means you can chuck in all sorts of fun stuff, I prefer slotted movement because it gives me more opportunity to play with the music, the dance and hi-jack... then I can chuck in some R'n'R, Lindy and although I'm crap at WCS but there is an element of it in there somewhere... and I like it when the lead plays back and adds in the bluesy and Tango bits

I love energetic fast tunes, but am trying to add some smooth, bluesy and tango styling to my repertoire, so i can get the best out of the whole nights music.
