That sounds like a criminal offense if done in a public place!

I have one that i like doing and another one that is, um, a work in progress. They may look a bit naff perhaps when i do them but i just see them as being a bit of fun. I have tried doing them a couple of times when the music goes from fast to slow so that i go in fairly fast and come out slowly. I dont know whether an onlooker would think that this goes with the music or was simply someone struggling with a bad back though

People who look good doing bends at the waist generally 'roll' themselves up/down so it's fluid. People who don't tend to simply let their head dictate the bend of their body.

Personally I try for a comprimise and use my legs to lower me so that I don't have to bend so much and try to move the lower half of my body under the upper half when standing up... Whether that looks any better or smoother from the outside I don't know, but it feels better to me

"Naffness" is all down to things being unfashionable.
Everything famous dancers do is automatically fashionable.

I'd say great dancers are great because they have mastery of the subtleties that can make moves that look naff by the rest of us look good by them.

Since it's quite possible to make fashionable moves look naff as well I'm sure there's more to it than simple trend setting from our idols.

I've never known "naff" to only = unfashionable. Being unfashionable is part of something being "naff". I don't believe the definition is that limited.
Here's what wiki had to say on it: Naff - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
and to be sure we're referring to the same word, this site also has a clip of what the word sounds like... and the definition does include "tasteless or unfashionable" naff: definition, usage and pronunciation - YourDictionary.com (emphasis provided by me )
