Nayomi
do you wanna come to SFunk, come on gal, we need the young and beautiful and very talented
other wise i'll be the only one
she's changed her mind and is coming
have you got a ticket or is it sold out ?
OK we always new I was going to love it
It was very different this time.
The crowd was completely different, there were a lot of people that I didn't know.
I had a good old chat to loads of new people, and it seem to me that they had come specifically cos it was SFunk, they had heard about the last one and thought this is just there thing, you could also tell by there style of dancing, 'well funky'
Was it me or did the guys seem younger trendier and better dressed
only a couple of dodgy tracks all night, and some just brill ones.
Danced with a lovely guy balled Bobby or 'B' we remarked on whether we would get 'cornel abrahams trapped' a couple of tracks later it came on, we just looked at each other and went for it, not sure our moves were the best but I think our singing was the loudest.
One guy (Ian) made me squeal he told me his uncle was a guitarist in SHAKATAK! WOW!
I also danced with a guy that spent part of his life dressed as a vicar (his nick name is 'the reverend') in a dog collar and long black leather coat and played in a rock and roll band, you never know who your dancing with.
Lovely to meet Miss Molly properly, and you were with the lovely Terry.
Come on Terry get on the forum your part of the family now and you have some right nifty moves.
I had a couple of new discoveries, Rubin from NZ and his mate Ben, goodness know how you two have escaped me for so long, see you at Ashtons, it won't happen again
J.P. yeah! I never had you down for three in a row kinda guy
Had fab dances with his mate Tom till we decided a track we were dancing to was realised in 1979 and he wasn't born till 1980 ....its just a number.
Rocky, I normally save you to boost my street cred at my local venue's I hope I haven't used it up now, I was relying on you for next week.
brill thank you!
Is that really it for this year guys
Thank you to Gerry for been you. xx

what a nice chap, will you tell him from me I realy enjoyed our dances, and he's such fun.
Your name was mentioned as been absent, you would have loved this one, not many standard Ceroc'ers and most of the WCS are at Breen, it was SFunk all the way
Just missed David B to dance with he's my best SFunker at the moment.
with FoxyFunkster in second place
but with both of the above absent last night, Herbie 'the love bug' was giving it plenty.
Of course I will. Bobby is in the process of buying a lap top and getting internet connection at home, so watch out of 'Forum Bobby' coming to a computer screen near you soon.
I can't help having a little giggle to myself though Fletch. I'm imagining you and Bobby dancing. You gotta be at least a foot taller than him.
Well what a night! I was still buzzing through into the following afternoon!
Having not experienced S'Funk before I made sure I held no expectations of what the night held in store... which meant I had an absolutely fab time!!
The greatest disappointment of the night (well the only one really) was that it seemed to be over so soon.... was time going much faster in that room than in reality? Liked the venue (apart from being easy to find), floor was really comfortable & condusive to long slides and extra spins (although we probably all ended up with talc on our bums after the last track of the night!)
I loved the concept of being able to dance with a partner or handbag it in a group - makes having a natter so much easier! It was like being at a big family party - only with really good DJs! I think you might even have got away with a couple more of the school disco tracks Rocky (Supermannnn.... ), it was a very receptive, open-minded crowd from what I observed.
What was slightly startling was how small the (nonetheless appreciative) crowd were - but then with most people unware of S'Funk (S-what?) or at other events, but in a way that added to the charm, and meant getting to dance with most people more than once (and yet I still missed out on some people I wanted to dance with...next time maybe...). And yes, great dancers....
And yes, great eye-candy Fletch, although I failed to pay proper attention until it was time to go... dash, darn, blast.... spent the drive home trying to persuade Terry that although we had a dishearteningly bad time when we tried a certain London venue we needed to go back there to give it another chance (purely for the venue of course... nothing to do with dancers.... or eye-candy.... )
And it was lovely to get to chat to you too Fletch
Terry and I are in heated debate (hence delay) he wants "The Bandit" (something to do with his zapata style moustache), but I just don't think that would do him him justice... we need some pazazz... village people style... *chortle*
