I now limit this rule to a single night. If somebody refuses me I don't ask them again that night. Another night is a whole new game. However, I do stop asking if I'm refused a few nights in succession
There are only a few ladies who have made it on to my "wait for them to ask me" list. I rarely see most of them nowadays. The odd thing is that one of them is a regular at my classes and is quite friendly when we're getting coffee in the kitchen
I wouldn't bother asking *that* many times .
Three refusals are enough for me, I know when I'm not wanted . There are plenty of people to dance with, why waste your time on someone who keeps turning you down (especially if they aren't being nice enough to give a reasonable explanation)?!
Once is a fluke, twice is a coincidence but three times is a trend...
I can't hear well and often don't know what a guy is saying. I just smile and walk off. If he had been asking for another dance, then I would have inadvertedly offended him. (I have found this the be the case after the fact).
Also, should it be the one who was asked's turn to ask the askee for a second dance, otherwise someone would be asking twice in a row.?
