What’s the worse journey you have endure to get to a dance?

Firstly I've checked the forecast in Ojmjakon and think ill give the open air dancing for Friday evening a miss its also has got 'smoke'

Ojmjakon, Russia Forecast : Weather Underground

    Siberia - Yakutia -

The worst in terms of travel time for me is 12hrs when it should have been under 4hr . Southport June 2004. A Motor way crash on M6

Re weather a small blizzard nothing much became rain as drove into London (Hammersmith years ago)

If I knew was going to be heavy snow fog etc wouldn’t bother im a southern jessey

...and someone else gets there first d'oh! Followed by a swift change of direction and pretending that I was going to ask someone else anyway...

Worst journeys... Windsor to Bedford on a Wednesday night when without warning they closed two junctions of the M25 so I got home at half 3 in the morning

Journey to Blackpool from Reading for Splash which too 7.5 hours instead of 4... and then finding out the people who left before us and a while after us encountered none of the problems.... on reflection I wonder if I didnt travel via some sort of dimension warp....

But of course it's all worth it!!

It took over 3 hrs to do 30 miles last year trying to get to Evesham when it was flooded

and its taken over 5 hrs to get to Ahtons last year.

best journey was when I went to Scotland only 4 hrs the football was on though.

No, it's usually "I'd really love to but..." [pick one from "I'm having a rest", "I'm just going to the loo", "would you like to dance with my (fat) friend", etc]

Yes. It's more important to master that look than anything else in modern jive.
