I lead you once at Hammersmith, why wont you let me lead you again!?

Better yet, I'd just like to dance with you again!

Assuming you are talking to me I'll quite happily dance with you, lead or follow. We both tend to be busy boys on the dancefloor though which can make, ahem, getting it on together a challenge

I remember some fun in the morning at Southport last Feb following the breakfast trying to follow you & Freya - could be time for a repeat

True. Caz is a fab lead. As are a few females I know. But the few male leads I regulary dance with I find are easy to follow, even when I'm hit with things I don't recognise (not that I should recognise them anyway).

But the common problems I get is when asking for a lead, they either:

    - say, erm you lead (confidence issue?)

    or

    - lead for 30 seconds or so, stop and say they have run out of moves

I try to reassure and say I don't mind what they lead (as I need the practice) but usually to no avail.

    Oh well.

    Re: Lead or Follow?

I enjoy both dancing as a lead and follower. Only been dancing as a lead for a couple of years so find following easier. It has given me greater respect for male dancers because although you do not expend as much energy as a lead IMO you do have to think more and making the moves flow is not as easy as I thought. when I am dancing as a follower I can always think of a good move, which strangely escapes me as alead

    Re: Lead or Follow?

I was leading a dance yesterday and led myself into the followers part of the basket by accident.

(Note to self : may need more practice)
