A little on the easy side (somewhat bit dull too) - 30/30 on each part.
In my quest to learn a little more about music I stumbled across this link:
Delosis - Musical Listening Test
It basically tests your level of perception is when it comes to listening to music.
Its similar to one I had to do when I was 7 before they would let us go and learn the violin Well, it did get me out of doing P.E.
Would be interested to see how people get on.

26/26 for me i'm pleased with that
god I hated it, it reminded me of music classes at school
I'm notoriously not good at this stuff... but I got 27 and 26, which, to be honest, I'm even surprised with (was expecting less).
I did freak out a little when it asked me 'did you hear all the tunes' and 'where you paying attention?' at the end
I know what you mean. It felt easy to me, anyway - probably helps that I have a very strong sense of rhythm. The first part though - was made easier by the fact that the phrases all sounded simple, like familiar melodies for kids - but for the 'different' ones, the second one sounded like it had been played with a wrong note (even if you didn't listen to the first part). I was about to say 'musically wrong' - but that only really applies within a very narrow set of parameters that I'm not qualified to judge. They sounded wrong to my ears, anyway.
Would have been a more subtle test if some of them had sounded different but still right, instead of different but wrong.
Hope that makes sense.
27/30 for both parts
It would be interesting to see if a higher score correlates with whether you play a musical instrument or not
(I'm a clarinetist myself)
You scored 29/30 and 26/30.
better than I thought I'd do
I used to play keyboards/ organ when I was in Primary / early high school .. but was never THAT good
28/30 and 29/30.
It seems I'm more aware of differences in timing than I am in tone, which I'm sure is the opposite from when I was at school, hopefully that's an effect of dancing.
But it could be taken to mean that one in 20 tracks that I play, I don't know what I'm playing.
Greg
I did the first 30, then there was another 30 too boring, maybe for a 7 year old who is told to do it.....
It did not relate to the title, "how well do you know music"... it was more, can you spot the difference.
Yup, I could spot the difference... but it did nothing for my knowledge of music...
I've never had any training in music, but do think I've got good rythm and a 'feel' for the music/musicality when dancing. I scored 29/30 and 30/30. Very easy.
Isn't it, rather obviously, designed to reveal whether people find it more easy to detect dissonance or detect tempo alterations?
I got a score of 23/30 and 24/30. I didnt grasp music at all at school and couldnt even do the most basic things on the recorder . But, with dancing I would like to hope I am musical as I am able to hear and anticipate key changes, repitition and breaks. Maybe different skills are required for different areas of music, I dont know?
