Following in the current trend of threads about hats and cats.. I came across this "little" beauty tonight. ( I say "little".. but it's got a 42 inch wing span!!)
Am getting rid of some "junk" from my flat as I have to move down to London at some point in the very near future.
I opened a cupboard and found some hitherto forgotten "toys" I'd purchased. This Little chap, and two rather large "Aliens" plush toys. (Alien Chest Burster and Alien Face Hugger)
I'm thinking about putting them on Ebay (I'm sure some daft begger would want them!)
Got me to thinking .. what's the oddest thing you've bought/sold on Ebay ??
(and if anyone wants these.. make me an offer )
at last the bat thread we been trying to get you to start batnurse
I was ten when Alien came out... I remember being absolutely fascinated by it, but at the same time utterly petrified. One of the kids at school got hold of the comic book adaptation which was enough to give me nightmares for weeks. When I finally saw it for the first time, I found it a terrifying film (I had a nervous disposition in those days) It may be pretty tame by today's gory standards, but I still think it's a masterpiece of a movie, and the alien designs are some of the best and most frightening ever to be committed to celuloid...
And you have a cuddly facehugger.
And a cuddly chestburster.
I have no words
I do.. they hold no fear for me.. as I said.. I think them rather cute. My Arachnophobic friend doesn't like the face hugger though. I'd rather have these in the house than a clown any day.. Clowns scare me..
Aliens were misunderstood.. all they wanted was a warm place to lay their eggs, and some DNA to base their parasitic life forms on.. Not their fault.. they weren't evil.. they were just a highly evolved predator. Clowns on the other hand.. I'd be more afraid of Ripley going one on one with Ronald McDonald than a fully grown alien personally
Ah that would be telling.. (Does my laptop, PDA ,Wireless Keyboard and MP3 Player count as hard toys btw???)
