    Snow event Jan 3rd

    So im in london its 2c and its drizzle

    Reading the london papers last few days you would have thought we would be under 10ft of snow

    anyone got any snow anywhere ?

    Even a flake they want to share ??



    ps im on salads so forget the flake

    We had heavy snow this morning and more forecast, very heavy in the glens just north of here.

    Blimey, you're right! Been stuck in the labs all day, so just went and found a window to look out of...Dundee has transformed into a winter wonderland. Not looking forward to the drive home, my little car doesn't like slippy roads

    Been snowing in Newcastle on and off for most of the day. In Durham, there was a light covering when I left this morning.

    We've had a light dusting of snow down here in Brighton. But not enough to send me searching for the sledge.

    well in St. Albans (Verulamium) - 20 miles north of Londinium - it IS snowing, albeit gently.

    I must say that the weather forecasters seem to go 'overboard' these days in predicting dire conditions. Remember the biblical floods about to inundate Norfolk/Suffolk - which never really happened.

    When I saw the headline on the BBC website a couple of days ago - it gav e the impression that it would be an Arctic style freeze and -17. Some hope....

    We've had lots of heavy hail storms in St Andrews, but right by the beach which looked white.... had little flurries (sorry no ref to micky d's at all for diet people) of snow but nothing lasting
