Blimey, that's a lot of events
Sat 15th - Mama Mortons Christmas Party
personally i think Hammersmith was absolutely top notch last night!:
the good bits
1. Definitely the delicious free snacks! bradders, jamie and crew great job! Theyre were chocolates, crisps, sausage rolls, all sorts!
2. THE music in both rooms. I loved all the tracks! Well done Annette, Eric, Marc and Rachel!
3. The sound system and lights were awesome, the sound last time was not up to scratch, a brilliant improvement!!!!
4. The floorcraft was quite good. Not a lot of the strange folk you sometimes get were there and i only had a couple of bad dances but even they werent terrible, its just one man stank of disenfectant and the other trod on my toe and didn't apologize, oh well.
And now the only two bad bits:
1. Discovering an extremely cute prom style dress black sequin, puffy tutu skirt and bow and putting it on hold, dad said he would consider buying it but it got to midnight and the shop had closed! hmph!
2. Texting DTS to find out if he was going to Hammersmith but he texted back saying he was watching the snooker instead! DTS how could you betray dancing for snooker???
Otherwise a cracking night and cant wait till the next one!
I missed it.
Dozed off. Zzzzzz
Blimey, my place was like the tropics this morning.
I went to the last ever "500 Club" (not on poll) - it was a lindy event and it was buzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzing
Lots of very happy friendly people (all great dancers too) amazing cabarets and yummy nosh (including lots of schtollen )
Gonna really miss the club - however lack of numbers for their monthly dancers proved costly

Age is a question of mind over matter, if you don't mind, it doesn't matter
Leroy (Satchel) Paige (1906-1982)
Mickey Mouse's girlfriend, Minnie, made her film debut, along with Mickey, in "Steamboat Willie" on November 18, 1928.
That date is recognized as her official birthday.
My first ever London dancing experience i went to Hammersmith Xmas Party - pretty good start to my dancing in London. Time flew past and before i know it, it was 2am !!!
Had an awesome time - lovely nibbles to much on before jumping back out on the dance floor (quite literally ). Had loads of really great dances plus getting to catch up with some of the guys and girls from breeze was really good.
I got to meet (and dance/mess around with) Miss Little Em... for one of my last dances in the blues room. Cheeky tie pulliing lady!!!
Thanks to HelenB for the lift / entertainment with Zebra on the journey.
Anyone else who I danced with - thanks for a great evening!!!
Will be back there again... bring on Southport!!!
Lloyd!
I made Decadence on Friday...but man flu got the better than me on Saturday and Sunday and missed out on Hammersmith and Zulus
If this post is all over the place it's because of Jet Lag/Too much partying. Last weekend I had my first taste of WCS American style, actually Houston, Texas style............................................. .WOW! WOW! WOW!!!!
I got in Sat eve, had time for a shower first stop on my Dance tour of Houston, Courtesy of the amazing Mario Robau Jr. The Big Easy Blues bar, Dance floor the size of a postage stamp, The Band were F**king awsome, the people so friendly and the atmosphere... well I dont know the words to describe it , cept AWSOME!!
Also, learned a little country 2step while there was no WCS music on, thanks to the lovely ladies at the "Wild West" Country Western Bar on Tues, there is video but no one will ever see it
And on my last night I went to the Concert Pub live WCS/Blues Music another Awsome night, ended up at the House of pies eating Breakfast at 4:30am.
Heres some photos from the Big Easy, Thats all I got, I was too busy enjoying myself! the first on is of just some of the Lovely Ladies that took me under their wing While I was there, second from the right is Natasha who asked me to partner her for the Novice Strictly category at ACC in Jan.
The second is Natasha and The Mario Robau Jr, I was lucky enough to work with him for 4 Whole days with Samantha Buckwalter as my dance dummy(that alone was priceless). For those that dont know/care who he is I wont bore you! For those who do, there is none better IMveryHO, it was a dream come true. I now have a plan
Right I am heading back to bed to finish the Jet Lag
