nowhere near as bad as i thought they would go CS thanks!
however paper 2 history ocr was blooming hard it was on the liberal reforms and we had an hour and 30 mins to do it when it had seven questions
none the less of course i didnt finish the whole paper, i.e lost 12 marks for question seven because by the time i was writing my second line we had to stop IMMIEDATLEY
Oh well still got another 5 months to improve!
check me out looking on the bright side lol!
Still no decorations up at Chez Astro - yet.
Haven't even bought some cards yet.....
Getting slightly worried now seen as a week today it is Christmas Eve
Yeah all cards still in the shops this year! Really starting to wonder if there is any point in buying cards this late....
Bless the little one... Christmas loses its magic when there are no kids around and you get past a certain age! Not that I for one minute want kids yet tho
Really have to start shopping soon... seen as my friend is coming round to exchange presents later this week and I haven't bought her anything yet
A lot of people I know don't buy cards because of the "green" issue of cutting down trees.
Especially about 10 years ago, before recycling and growing trees especially for cards.
(Has anyone got this avatar. I just saw my last one on someone else)
I wish Franck would delete them once they have been used.
yay!!!!
i've got all my christmas shopping done now!
and managed to save a fiver
which i can use to see enchanted tomorrow!
whoooo so excited present swapping and a film and my lovely friends
tomorrow is going to be a beeeeauutiful day!!!!!
I've finished my Christmas shopping
That's not bad going since I only started on Sunday night.
I've decided I'm not putting up the tree or decorations as I can't be bothered.
I'm not sending Christmas cards either for the same reason.
Now all I need to do is gut the house, get through the 'Mount Everest' of washing & ironing, sort the mountain of invoices and paperwork I've been ignoring for weeks, clean the close, clean the manky car and get it in a fit condition to get us to Aberdeen next week, lose three stones by Monday and I'm all set.
Got all my stuff up ....at last.
Effect rather spoilt by an ugly xmas card.
Do folks -
a. bin ugly cards.
b. hide it behind other cards.
c. it doesn't bother me.
Am also feeling more Christmasy now too - managed to get my tree last night and put it up with lovely new, twinkly lights (though they do seem to have migraine-inducing settings so will have to avoid those).
Just got to wrap pressies now which are all bought, and Christmas cards are all sent!
Still not started..... Had to buy 2 presents last minute for people who i wouldn't see but they were a last minute pop to the shops on the way to see them!
Really ought to go shopping tonight after work but too sleepy.....
Funny thing, Christmas... some years I am into the whole spirit of it weeks before (though not on my birthday in September yet when some shops and advertising already go into Xmas mode... what's that all about??? I've got Southport to enjoy first)
For the last two years running I have been so submerged in work and other stuff that it just creeps up on me... Same this year
Slowly getting into the mood now (yup, about time too) but it's too late in the day for some stuff so will do a last minute dash around to "sort things" the Christmas way.
Haven't done cards for years, environmentally friendly and all that... Though I admit I deep down still like getting the paper variety
Thanksfully don't need to do much Christmas shopping as my family don't have the presents for Christmas tradition, and being an online geek I tend to sort that lot out on the web weeks in advance so I don't have to brave the Christmas madness in the shops.
Oops, only a few days to go.. best get my skates on making the house look half decent and festive...
Right, I'm really getting into the Christmas spirit now! Am currently in Norway, where there is THICK frost and a nice sprinkling of snow everywhere. Today we went out into the forest and chopped our own Christmas trees (and they're guaranteed not to drop needles, as they are so fresh!), grilled hotdogs over open fires, drank mulled wine and ate 'pepperkaker'. Yum!
All the houses look like they're taken straight out of Christmas cards - lovely wooden houses covered in snow, and with pine trees with clear fairy lights twinkling through the snow outside. In a winter wonderland like this, it's easy to believe in Santa!
HAPPY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!
