I'm the same - I cross the road or take take detours to avoid going anywhere near LUSH shops -it's such an overwhelming 'fake' smell and you can smell it from about 100m away if the wind is blowing that way. I don't understand how anyone can go in there, or want to smell like that.
The shops seem popular though, so there must be a wide spectrum of what people like and how sensitive their sense of smell is. My mum is a smoker and wears way too much perfume because she can't really smell it. Sometimes it almost knocks me out!
just do it, somone has to.
it's ruining their dances and they don't know why.
My mate has stinky breath and it took me 18 months to tell him. I hated dancing with him.
Eventually I told him that if someone offers you an mint in dance take it they are telling you something. Later, I offered him a mint, he took it.
i've noticed that now he carries his own mints.
I no longer have to hold my breath and draw a breath whilst looking the other way
Wheeph
This reminds me of a guy we get at our classes. We always have mint imperials on the front desk. One guy has the same routine each time he comes. He seems to completely fill his mounth with mints First of all he takes a handful and crams the whole lot in his mouth. Then he takes another handful and puts them in his mouth one at a time. I've noticed people trying to talk with him and it's quite comical when he opens his mouth to reply and you see a huge number of white mints on some kind of spin-cycle
Grannies (even non smoking ones) have this problem with perfume. WHile walking down the road for lunch I hit a stench of granny perfume (do you hit a certain age and think - I must go to the granny perfume section), 30 odd yards later and round a corner there are 3 grannies waiting for the taxi *cough cough*
At the local venues I use regularly there used to be a problem with some people but not any more.
The franchise owner/teacher supplied deoderants in both the ladies and mens loo's along with the complimentry mints on the front desk.
Most nights especially on the hot ones he would mention to the class as a whole about the importance of refreshing ones self and that there were complimentry deoderants supplied. This seemed to have the effect on certain dancers taking a look at themselves and turning up in a more refreshed state than they used to.

Age is a question of mind over matter, if you don't mind, it doesn't matter
