Just out of interest, if you're singing, how do you plan to be dancing also?
(I'm free by the way, but you might prefer a male lead )
I’m wondering if there are any leads out there in the City of London who might have an hour or so to spare next month?
I’m singing in a concert at the Bishopsgate Institute as part of the Spitalfields Festival on 20th December. One of the tunes we’re singing is “Let’s Do It”*, and I think** it might be fun to have a dance to it whilst it’s being sung. (And if anyone is around in the City that day and wants to have a listen, do come along, it's free and there's mince pies and sherry afterwards!)
Concert is at 1, would be good to have a run through beforehand and if I’ve not danced with you before to maybe meet at a class/freestyle beforehand to try dancing together. So not a lot of time commitment.
Anyone out there?
*Cole Porter
“Birds do it, bees do, even educated fleas do it, let’s do it, let’s fall in love”
** I also think that I might have had my sanity chip removed…

I hope to come.
No excuse as I'm only a mile away.
Love Cole Porter.
Is he still alive?
Excellent! Not all Cole Porter though - right old mix of stuff
Would appear that Cole is long gone...
Quick reminder in case there's anyone out there who missed this - still looking for a partner, preferably male, for one short dance!
I would have loved to, I actually work in Bishopsgate 2mins away, but its a day too early for me. I will be in Houston Tx till the 21st
"And that's why birds <pant> do it, bees <buff> do it
Even educated <gasp> fleas do it
Let's do it, let's <ooh nice move> fall in love"
I just want to know.. are you doing the Tank girl version? and if so.. Can I come to watch
(I wish I was there though.. I'd do it with you sweetheart )
There was a feature in London Lite or the other free London paper about dancing.
Apparrently there are classes in just loads of different dances at The Bishopsgate Institute.
No mention of Ceroc though.
That would be a great venue for Ceroc in the city as it's opposite Liverpool Street station.
Also it's a non commercial venue, so might be reasonable rates.
I've been in the library part, but not the dancing room. Be interesting to have a look.
Wonder who Twirly's Mystery Man is?
Is he shy?
Just to remind anyone who MAY be in the area that this is TODAY. I can't be there to give her moral support but it would be great if anyone else could.
Good Luck Honey.. wish I was there to watch you.
I only work a minute away, PM me if you need a lead
Thank you guys - but you were a bit late, was already in rehearsals by the time you posted these offers!
JHutch kindly accompanied me, and it all seemed to go very well. Got lots of good feedback afterwards - despite being extremely nervous.
Got any pix?
Not that I can share...
Didn't she tell you it was a nudist event?
Actually (I jest) Apprently Jhutch was very smart .. resplendent in his dickie bow and suit, and Twirly was looking glamorous in her dress.
Video's were taken but they're a bit on the big side at moment.. Still she'll be getting a geek down for the new year who can resize , crop and upload to his webspace .. assuming both parties involved are ok with the idea
(I've not seen the vid myself yet )
