The slow foxtrot is definitley my favourite ballroom dance to participate in... but for exhibition dancing I love to watch the quickstep. I think the lively personality and inticate steps can be appreciated by anyone and everyone, and while the slow waltz or slow foxtrot are beautiful to watch to the 'trained eye' I'm not sure that everyone can appreciate the degree of control required for some of the lines and movements, and maybe some people find them a bit dull .
The best exhibition quickstep I've ever seen has to be Christopher Hawkins and Hazel newberry - they were a legendary partnership and their quickstep was always a show-stopping masterpiece.
