Well if it was a surplus of males, I don't know if I would have bothered when I first took up Ceroc.

I can see the point of it, but ....surely there should be no restrictions on parties

Imagine how the ladies feel then!

Seeing as we do 'bother' with it on a weekly basis, its nice to have the odd evening to enjoy the same joys that you men do, once in a while!

I guess the only way to find out is to do it and see.

There is a huge emphasis on sport in Aussie (just watching the news, half or more of the news is about sport), a lot of dancers, even the beginners see it as a challenge.

Most beginners see themselves as intermediates and most intermediates see themselves as Advanced anyway, so they will push themselves.

Fundamentals and technique is being pushed hard here ATM. Times have changed from the "moves moves moves" mentallity a few years ago. From day one, people are told the benefit of fundamentals and technique.

Take for example Peter and Amy, who have recently come to the UK. They are relatively "new" dancers, in the overall scheme of things, but they train as much as top sports pros would (as did Clayton and Janine), and they get results.

The Christmas party in Stirling is not "strictly" gender balanced and at the moment there is no restriction on single bookings for either sex.

We did have a spell when there was a surge in ladies booking tickets and at that point the control on the booking system kicked in, to prevent there being a huge imbalance at the party.
