    M is mol/L so M<sup>2</sup> is mol<sup>2</sup>/L<sup>2</sup>

    A mole (mol) is 1 × 10<sup>23</sup>/L.

    Obviously you cannot test whether you can fit 1 ×10<sup>23</sup> people per cubic metre in your establishment as there are not that many people in the world.

    so why are you asking?


    Remedial education

    SI units have symbols, and case is important.
    For example:
    m = metre
    M = moles per litre
    s = seconds
    S = siemens
