Shame, as they were great dancers
Too true, I made a cup of tea instead, music was good though

HI FANTASTIC if you can watch it again and at end see the dancer who didnt lift his partner with the rest, did he forget or did he have a bad back??

Didn't work for me at all. It just looked like two styles that had no common ground and despite the technical skill in the lifts, the costumes and 'pretend' ballroom together with the ballet skips across the floor meant it was neither one thing nor the other.

I wished they'd stuck to doing traditional ballet.

Finally got to watch this - it looks like it was choreographed for a different piece of music - that aside pretty traditional ballet for me with some very lovely lifts.

Think the girls should have been in point shoes those - as it was heels made them look awkard and also make the lines on several shapes look rather strange

The song was 'My Way' and I guess they were all doing it there way! I quite liked it.

Re: Dance / Ballet on Strictly

I saw this company in Durham and they did that as the finale for the show. I really enjoyed it but found myself wanting to watch all the dancers where I would rather just see one couple or I get distracted, saying that I get distracted when group dances are done on SCD too.
Points would have looked better for the ladies butoverall thought it was a different take on things and if you ever get the chance to see a show by the Birmingham School and enjoy ballet I would recommend it.
