So I don't know if I'm just too much of an eager beaver, but I went to the lesson last night as per usual and noticed I recognised less faces than previous weeks. Was everyone taking a night off after Blaze to soothe their feet with nice emollients and salves rather than dancing the night away? Personally, I was keen to get some more moves under my belt.
Perhaps ironically, I survived the whole of Blaze with no incident and then last night seemed to pull a muscle in my arm - I think when trying to do the "put yourself into a half-nelson" bit of the swizler / twizler / twiglet / whatever.
I was well impressed with the variation on the yo-yo we did in the intermediate class, though. It's so ridiculous it made me laugh every time. I don't remember the proper name for it, but it's the one where you place the lady's hand on the hip and then flick it away (hmm... is it a hip flick?) to put them into a spin. Good fun, and no strange ladies groped my bum.
'Fraid I didn't make it to Glasgow on Tues - mainly due to work stuff which required me to be in the wrong city (and didn't even make it to ceroc in that other city).
