Age is a question of mind over matter, if you don't mind, it doesn't matter
Leroy (Satchel) Paige (1906-1982)
Mickey Mouse's girlfriend, Minnie, made her film debut, along with Mickey, in "Steamboat Willie" on November 18, 1928.
That date is recognized as her official birthday.

I know there was another thread on this but can't find it.
Has this film been released in the cinema? I know it has been on sky already so wouldn't make sense if it hasn't yet.
Is it available at Blockbuster? Bit confused about dates etc as American release is 9th May.
I watched it on sky.
It was alright, cant really remember much about it tbh.
According to Robert Royston, the film is officially being released in the US in May but it will be an updated version of the one that was shown on Sky.
Not sure when it will be released in Europe but I think that a cinema release is planned.
I’ve not seen it yet but the feedback I’ve heard from several die-hard WCS fans is that the dancing you get to see is very cool, the cameo’s from people you’ve actually met are even cooler….
….and you should buy a very large bowl of pop-corn to help you get through the cringe-worthy acting
I’m seeing it tomorrow evening as it happens
I have seen it (the sky version that is) and it is an OK film.
For a bloke that is not in to WCS it would be one to give a miss but for dancers it is a good little film.
It is pretty cheesey in places but not as much as I expected. I don't know why they changed the dancers names, maybe something to do with being classed as actors rather than cameo.
The routines are pretty good and it's a shame they don't last longer. J&T's would make a very good full routine :-)
What did impress me though is the non dancer actors, how well they had picked it up (though there were some long range shots for the final routine
the reason I ask about release dates is I was going to arrange for our dance group to go the cinema to see it.
Sorry, Last post was by me. Didn't realise Claire had logged in.
movie is currently running on Emirates flights....wouldn't it be just wunnerful if anyone walked into a class after seeing it on a plane?
Apparently it will be released on DVD and Blu Ray on 20th Oct 2009 Can't wait!
