    Angry rapid response

A funny thing happened to me on the way home from Ealing last night

While texting Annette and chit chatting to Gerry (who was driving) smash! a car ran into us, my first thought was I had distracted Gerry and he had run a red light, but in-fact when I looked out of the back window, three youths were legging it out of a badly smashed up car

A few inches across and I dread to think what state Gerry would have been in his car is completely crushed

I was on the phone within seconds to 999, and before I had finished reading the name of the street out, the first pander car was there, the police chased the youths which they caught, withing 3 min the must have been 12 pander cars 25 cops 2 fire Eng's and an ambulance the fire Eng's hosed down the other car which may have exploded it was smoking, the other pander cars sealed off the roads while all this was happening, and other cops were taking statement, form us and witnesses and arresting the youths I have never seen anything so professional ans slick

The police were lovely, and gave us a lift back home (they weren't like that in my youth)

Hold on is this 'Fletch' been nice about the police

Yes! thank you guy's job well done

If anyone is going to Berko tomorrow night and heading back via Twickenham (The Winning Post) and can give Gerry a lift please PM me, thanks

I'm so pleased that Fletch is OK. And I'm pleased the youths aren't hurt either. Hopefully they'll learn from the experience and become useful members of society - at the very least, let's hope they have learnt their lesson about driving, leaving he scene of an accident and the futility of attempting to evade arrest.

So glad you're OK - any accident is a nasty experience. Sounds like the emergency services really came up trumps. Hope you are not too shaken up, mind you all those chaps in uniform.......

The police are hero's in my book...it's great to hear a story about 'The Filth' () getting it right for a change.

Glad to hear you're both OK, that's the main thing. Everything else can be fixed.

So glad both You and Gerry are ok Fletch

in the end it's just a car .. a lump of metal.. and replaceable that's been damaged. As long as you two are both ok then that's all that really matters in the end.

Poor Gerry has no car at the moment

We both have whip lash, so need to take it easy for a while

It looks like the girl in the group was driving and she's in court on Wednesday, it wasn't her car,so no insurance and she was drunk, not sure where we stand

If this was her first conviction then, yep, she deserves another chance to learn from her mistakes.
If this isnt her first conviction then she should be put before a firing squad immediately. One less scum ball in the country.
