Derby Freestyle @ Rollerworld on 27/10

Is this worth travelling 52 miles for? Is anyone else going or anyone who has been in the past that can give me the lowdown on the night?

    I'm planning to go.

The launch one was very busy, recent ones have been a bit quieter but that's still a good number of people because it's in such a big room.

I'm not sure who's DJ this time though.
    Love dance, will travel

Mrs Par and I have travelled up from Worthing on the south coast for 3 of them so far.

Really big venue plenty of parking. A great atmostshere.

Initial numbers have decreased a bit but still loads of great dancers.

Plenty of freestyle time 8pm til 2 from memory which is what attracts me and Mrs Par.

we can't make this one cos I'm doing nights (again!!) but we will definatly make one of the 2 over the Christmas week.... 22nd and 29th.

So to answer your question 52 miles is no distance at all and its well worth a visit.

isn't it the 28th dosn't it clash with Ashtons Black and White Ball

i'm attending a Tennis club Ball with Gerry this Saturday good job i don't drink anint it

I'm getting into a tizzy on what i'm doing when who's having the children, and am I in London is Gerry in the Midlands its Maddie's birthday on the 29th so I thought I could do her cake at 12 midnight and still get to Daventry on the 29th or Utopia (its dressing up at Utopia ) it will all depend on who's having the children

think I might just stop in and watch TV

I think Daventry and Rollerworld are both on 29th Dec. Daventry is a James Bond theme, Rollerworld is (I think) a "Glitter and Sparkle" theme.

Personally I'd rather look like James Bond than be glittery and sparkly.

I did & I set myself a target of 50 dances in the 6 hours. Considering I didn't start dancing till half 8 I still managed it. And some of them were 5-6 minuters. I was shattered.

I managed to break my dancing shoes amongst all that too.

I was impressed by the standard there and the majority of the music played.

All in all a good night.
