    Right pain in the foot

Hmm not sure how to describe this. But when I dance I seem to "work" my right foot harder than my left and subsequently I get a burning sort of pain in the arch underneath my right foot midway through an evening of dancing.

I think I've got into an habbit of sort of dancing on the ball of my right foot instead of putting an equal amount of preasure on the whole foot.

Ok this sounds strange as I dance in heels but I hope you guys understand what I mean. I dont think it's got anything to do with the dancing in heels bit though, as I normally wear heals to work and out and about and that doesnt give me any pains.

I also think I do a sort of "ballroom" rise and fall via my right foot when I sort of step in and out of moves. Bad habbit and I dont know what to do to correct it

    Help please

I'm sure you'll get a lot of very helpful and useful advice from others here, but I do recommend that you see a specialist (podiatrist perhaps?) about something like this - someone who can examine your feet, your shoes, see what you're doing, and give you specific & tailored diagnosis / advice / treatment. Feet are tricky things, as I know to my cost (I'm very slowly recovering from a similarish problem at the moment, which has put a serious dent in my dancing).

when I get pain in that part of foot it's normally a means I haven't been stretching and warming up my feet enough and them being under tension from the work of dancing

My OT prescribed a golf ball - place it on the ground and the either sitting or standing roll it backwards and forward along the length of your foot - this is excellent for stetching out the muscles and joints in your feet - when i am being good I do this before & after dancing - and if feet are bad - then it's during as well.
