Twice last Friday. The least embarrassing was trying to do the routine at Dave & Val's wedding.

The most embarrassing was about 10 minutes before, trying to fit into the trousers to do the routine....

Re: Not as young as i thought i was

    That reminds me...

Rudolf Nureyev was dancing as the lead with Margot Fontayn.

    She was 45!

Anyway poor Rudy's knee would sometimes lock on stage and the audience would have to wait, or his muscles would go into a spasm etc.

The thing is though, he could dance on stage, but off stage he could hardly walk at all, had to rely on crutches. His posture was completely wrecked.

So beware, we may be able to dance great, but will we be able to walk to the venue?

He started out on a raked stage at St. Petersberg???? forget the name.

Raked stages are very bad for the body.

After he defected from Russia he was never allowed back to dance on his beloved raked stage. They even closed it so he could not visit it when he was allowed a visit to see his mother.

I dunno why, but your post reminded me of a story I heard about Wayne Sleep and why he had to give up ballet.

Apparently, he'd been buggered so much that he used to crap himself ever time he tried a pirouette. You don't want that on your CV if you can help it.

Probably wouldn't look right in a nappy on stage with those tights on.
But, Ceroc? You could get away with doing that.

Pah, that's nothing. I made it all the way up the stairs just to post this.

This sounds like a plan, tip..Get Hiking boots I saw someone doing it in high heels and on the way down I saw her being carried by 2 guys and her ankle was massive, probably sprained it the fool.

But Balders how long did Ben Nevis take you? Me and My mate did it in 5 hours up and down?

Re: Not as young as i thought i was

one of my teachers always told me i was a old head on young shoulders i didnt know what this meant, a few years later, another teacher told me practically the same thing but said that when i opened my mouth it was like speaking to an adult, even though i was a child!

I think i really am getting old, two kids went whizzing past on those heelie trainers (trainers with wheels) in the cinema and i said, "Mind where your going you kids!"

Then i turned to my friend and said, in my day we didnt have those heelie trainers, we had rollerskates and we made do with them.

    My friend just cracked up!
