Maybe she was just tired of having to think up a convincing excuse?

But I use pejorative terms for everyone, not just old people. so to call me agiest is the wrong term...I'll accept peopleist, if it's ok with you.

Here, I bet Clinton won't be starting a thread on the Australian forum 'cos he got blanked last night. Aussie men are men.
    Ha ha ha

I do not think there is a family resemblance... she is a sweet, lovely, intelligent and personable American girl studying at the local University, who was simply not feeling well and was tired.
People do have a right to say no - however they choose to say it. That will not stop me asking her again next time.

There is a culture of "only expect one dance" on the Gold Coast, which is great, it encorages me to say yes a lot more, to everyone, as I know it will not be awkward to walk off after one track... and they do not stalk you.

I like to use "descriptive" words as well.

[and yes you can call me old, and many more names if ya like ]

Hey, I got turned down by two women in succession at Britrock last night. It would have been slightly less embarassing if it hadn't been during the snowball dance for somebody's birthday

Both ladies pointed at their outdoor shoes as if that was a good reason to refuse a dance

Luckily I was rescued by a lovely lady and had a fabulous dance

Yup, Gloucester is running as usual on Wednesday at Churchdown Community Centre and I hope to be there. Be nice to see you again.
