From a DJ's perspective, it's the people in the room which drive and define the mood, particularly in a single room event like Ashtons where there are no set boundaries on music policy.
With Hammersmith becoming more of a 2 room event, I feel that Ashtons can flourish as a best of everything venue playing the very best of main room and back room material.
The 9th will be the first time I go back to back with Latin Ian. For us this will be a special occasion as we both play Berko virtually every Sunday and don't often get to hear each others sets.
Forgive me if I'm wrong but we should get a 2am finish. It would be awesome if we could push the boundaries as much as we would like but it all comes down to who comes through the door. Wherever you go, you are in for a quality night. It's all good.
DJ's these days need the sensitivity of a new born kitten combined with balls of steel.
Sometimes you just have to put your balls on the line.
