    Jive Nation freebies in October

I just got an email to say that JN events are free all through October.

Actually, reading the small print, it's not quite that good - it's for freestyles only (after 9pm), and you've got to pay £2 to join and get a key tag thingy (oh good, something else to carry round...) - also, I don't believe this is for party nights, just the weekly freestyles.

Still, free is free - I may well pop down there at some point, I can never resist a bargain

I've not heard much feedback on these nights - which ones would people recommend? What's the people / music like? Is the Holborn one still a two-room affair? Is the music still clubby?

Are you sure it's not just you they're free for? Targeting the most exclusive audience.

I can only comment on the Fulham venue, which has 2 rooms, I've had fab dances (including tango) there with fab dancers, at times it has been unpredictable as to numbers though.
The clubby room is generally too clubby for me, but then so is any normal Ceroc night.

Hmmm, Fulham's miles away... I was thinking of one of the Central London ones.

    I'll clarify.

First off, if you are a member, freestyle IS free during October.

If you are not a member, there is a one-time £2 charge - exactly the same as Ceroc.

Monday night is at the Sugar Reef in Piccadilly. Whilst I appreciate that many have heard about the "new" hip and stylish concept that Ceroc has just "created" at Digress in the city, I would point out that we have had central London locations for the last year and Sugar Reef is our latest. We turned down Digress to open here, as it really is hip and stylish. If you want to try out the offer, this is the venue I would start with.

Won't say anymore as I want to just keep to answering the questions ;-)

When was membership introduced then? I'm not sure if I can face carrying another card around, my wallet's already creating an unseemly bulge in my back pocket now

Hmmm, is "hip" hip again then? Grooovy, man

But thanks for the information, and I like the idea of all this competition for my custom
