    Has Gus got 'Thread Tourettes'?

I notice that Gus has had a quiet afternoon at work! He started 9 threads in about 15 minutes! Is this a new form of Tourettes, where the poster can't control his thread starting?

Nah ... just had a very good meeting this morning and the afternoon off. Just found a wifi spot to paste and post all the posts I've been doodling around with while I was stuck in hotels in London last week.

Still waiting for some real fireworks on the plastic boobs thread though

Sounds like a fire-risk to me. Why not go the more traditional route and use a milk-bottle?

What he has done is added some life to the forum and stop me from looking at Technical Threads going back to June 2001 for some kind of 'fixed' in the last few days

I'm 99% certain that there is only one firework which would sit comfortably with the plastic boob.

If it was funny, you'd have got it. It felt, when I posted it, like there was a 50/50 chance of it being funny. Such are the many pitfalls of humour.

By way of explanation: I've found a picture of the bottle version. I can't find a picture of Gus' version (OK - to be honest, I haven't bothered looking), so you'll just have to imagine it

Gus must spend the whole weekend thinking up obtuse and irrelevent questions and writing them down so come monday

    Wham Bam

    . . . . . . . . .. . . Take that Forum!

Am I alone in feeling they are always phrased to incite rather than nurture debate?
And of course tread to far toward the line the old [ODA] hat comes out.

When I start a thread (at least when I start a thread on my own not ably assisted by Mssrs. James and Ducasi whilst thinking I was replying to someone elses thread) it tends to be something I care about or find important or is just down right silly and may cause a laugh.

Can any one person be as interested in as many different subjects with as many tangentally (so it seems) differing points of view?

The odd amusing story or entertaining post would go a long way.

Is anyone else suspicious that Gus might have been been made redundant/sacked?

Hmmm ... well I can't comment on this perceptions but I raised a number of points for discussion that were interesting to me. If you don't find them interesting, thats your prerogative but maybe its a bit demeaning to the people who do find them interesting and contribute to them just to say that they are 'inciteful'.

Interesting use of English ... I think. Tell you what, if the threads offend you, don't read them. Just post something intelligent elsewhere.

What, sack myself??? Be a bit strong. No thank you, gainfully employed on a rather nice contract till the end of the month. The advantage of working for oneself is that I can get my work done whenever I like ... be it at weekends or in the evening and enjoy the delights of the day. ..... makes me wonder a little why I'm moving to taking up a proper job

I often give myself a days suspension......or a jolly for the afternoon....here and there a duvet day....and as many days holiday as I choose.
