I was moved by DF story
Following on from this
My first home was a garage door cost me 12 weeks wages .
I think kids today expect too much
My loo was a train ride away at Euston station but we never complained, me and my Teddy
We didn’t know much about Anthrax then but new if you had it with uncooked meat the skin infections that followed didn’t make you popular when standing outside the school disco
I wonder if kids today know how hard we had it back then , 'savings' were rain drops you kept for your open air bath ?

Hey, Stewart, I enjoy your posts - and so does DS, truth be told.
Just don't mind if from time to time I point out some of the funnier boo-boos - to point them out when they aren't funny is just rude!!
I am trying to work out how we can engineer a thread in which only you and Fletch post to each other while the rest of us spend all day grinning.
You stayed in a fridge? You were't lucky to have t'fridge !
I was a door mat with the word "Welcome" tatooed on my back. I had to lie outside the front door 25 hours a day 8 days a week come rain, sun or snow and let people clean their boots on the back of my head.
Fridge? Pah luxury !
