It all depends on the fabric. Some fabrics take dye better than others - and some need different types of dye. What are they?

    Re: Dyeing fabric

I'd use cold water dye - you know, those little pots/boxes of Dylon they sell in hardware shops. It should go black nicely. The only problem might be with the stitching and fastenings, depending on whether they're polyester, they might stay the same colour as now. You never know until you try...

Let me know how you get on. And don't forget to wear rubber gloves - that stuff is difficult to wash off.

No probs. Glad they turned out OK. I'm quite practiced at dyeing things black. Also it's good to use my Fashion & Textiles A Level...

BTW... I was going to suggest the bleach thing. I used to spray bathroom cleaner on my hands & quickly wash it off.

Yes. I hope DJ was happy. I think it was worthy. It was short. It was nice. It had smilies. It did not have multiple exclamation marks!!! It didn't mention hwmnbn. If not, I suppose I'll see my tagline changed to "Dark Princess of the Geeks" or some such nonsense.
