It would be useful to know, not because I plan on entering (I don't) but so that those that are minded to compete know whom they need to approach for clarification on the rules such as how many multiples are permitted when spinning for example.

That stuff wasn't there yesterday was it?

Interesting judging system - I wondered if DavidB would get his repechage thing going, but apparently not.

It seems reasonably well thought-through, at least.

But I still don't know what Blues dancing is.

At least the list of judges were when I posted on this thread back on Sunday night. Otherwise I'd not have known where to look...

When dancing blues it takes a while to really get into the zone.... I wonder if there'll be a sort of warm up area for people to use - or will it be a case of being thrust out into the spotlight from a standing start

I hear that the key to doing well in a blues competition is to take things that are normally quite small, and make them much bigger.

I'd expect a chunk of blues music playing somewhere before the start of the competition, to warm up both competitors and audience.

I'm gobsmacked that this has been posted for almost 9 hours and no-one has yet risen to the innuendo soaked bait - it can't be that hard surely?

I don't think any of the men are going to admit that something might be "normally quite small" in the first place.

If I post a picture of my cursor on the rep button next to my post will you 'see what I did there too' and get the idea ...

Wasn't this the advice you were trying to give to the 2007 Scottish Poolside Pummelling team on your recent overseas excursion?

Why do you think they give marks out of ten?

    Putting aside the inuendos...

The thing about blues is that is small and sexy.... so the judges should see that.

When you make it large and out there, you are simply distroying the dance and selling out to those judges who have no clue.

4 out of the 8 judges I personaly know, and I know they will see the "small things"

[not that they have small things ]

This is why I asked, if facing front and posing was needed, as I do not think it should be, I think it should be connection with partner, and not "look at me"

Right ... so you have to dance BLUES .... but no one can actualy define what Blues is ... only what its not Is it only me who can see a slight problem of logic ... or is my early morning hangover from far too many 'sex on the beaches' addling my limited intellect even further .... ho hum ... back to the beach
