My brothers wedding is only 30 mins away from Fleet so Sue and I might sneak out and make a surprise appearance - if you see us we weren't there

If I go I'll be dancing in my new kilt as I'm wearing it to the wedding. Please advise me you Scots, it'll be the first time I dance in my kilt, do you take your sporran off or do you run the risk of those fluffy bits tickling your partner?

On my sickbed plus celebrating THAT anniversary - oh no sorry !!

Lily - sorry we'll miss you at Fleet, it's Gt Bookham for us (just about sold out now I think), and Pammy, I'm not expecting an Enormous ***** but I'm quite excited about the premiere (?) playing of a new dance track there, which isn't on release till next week. I predict it will soon be overplayed . . .

I've heard that the music is great at Gt Bookham. It would have been my first choice for Saturday but I'd need to buy a ticket and I'm still not sure about how easy it'll be to escape from the wedding reception

That's not to say there's anything second rate about Fleet it just that the drive home from Gt Bookham is shorter.

Oh yes. Hipsters is good, nice shiny new floor, you can still smell the varnish...

Per conversations at Gus' post b-day lunch I believe nice boys move theirs to the side.....and are very careful if dipped or dropped

Sadly it's fairly true in my experience.
If I move, will I get a "niceness" transplant?

You're living in the wrong place - you're already nice

Too much, too much! My head is welling, but let me quantify.

It was only when I danced in Brighton for a year (1997) that the whole dance social scene for me opened up. (OK we had our regular little grouping in Ealing, and that still sticks together, but it was very different at the central London venues).
I was bowled over by the friendliness and hospitality of dancers in the Brighton area, and in that year made many friendships that I'm sure will last a lifetime, regardless of dancing.

Now hardly any of my dancing is in the centre of the city, the closest I get is going "out to the sticks" at Ealing. I never even go to the popular venue which is only about 15 minutes walk away.
