I'll be there, Pammy. My 'sters shirt is in the wash, though. Unless you have another 'official' outfit in mind. I should have packed my sparkly 'Divissima' t-shirt.
D'oh!
Who is going tonight then?
Are we wearing our official outfits?

I went last night. I'd been told it wasn't as crowded on a Tuesday. And it wasn't although it was still busy. Both of the lessons were brilliant.Originally posted by Pammy

But the Lindy quotient has risen to a level that made me give up and go home with half an hour to spare I used to regard the 2 token Lindy tracks as a signal for a rest. When we'd got to 3 Lindy style tracks following some kind of Reggae thing I went out into the hall for a break and waited for something that inspired me to come back in. After the 5th Lindy style track they played a Justin Timberlake track that you'd need to do WCS to to get the best out of, then they had a dance for a girl that was leaving - at that point I decided it was time I did the same
For people that do Lindy and MJ or don't want to dance to every track Hipsters on a Tuesday is absolutely fantastic - and I think Amir's lesson is the best MJ lesson you can get anywhere because he teaches some technique - and Nigel's lesson is great too because the puts together a great routine and usually has a move I've not done before. The numbers on a Tuesday prove it's popular so you can't say it's wrong to do what they're doing. But for people like me that don't do Lindy the night to go to Hipsters is Wednesday because there's more space and every track is chosen with MJ in mind - and Viktor's lesson is great too.
I might even drive up on a Tuesday, do Amir's and Nigel's classes and then go somewhere else to freestyle - or even go to the pictures over the road or take Sue for a meal in Ealing
So the answer to Pammy's question is 'See you next Wednesday'
I quite liked that, I haven't a clue what it was but I'm sure I danced with James to it (and he did a VERY flash bit of foot work in the middle, enough to make me go WOOOHOOO)Originally posted by Andy McGregor
some kind of Reggae thing
Any idea what the track was James?
