Do we as a society mistreat ginger people?

Caught the end of a programme last night presented by a ginger guy about ginger people. He was trying to establish why ginger people were discriminated against. He was also trying to find a girlfriend without any success.

    This got me thinking......

Do i have a hate for ginger hair? Would i date a ginger man? Could i have coped with a ginger baby?

Ginger people only make up 3% of the population did you know that?

I myself love ginger hair and would have no problem dating a ginger man. Ginger pubes tho..... mmmmmm not sure about that.

So wot do you think. Do we as a society mistreat ginger people?

Re: Fu5k Off ... im ginger

    Much prefer the term Redhead,

been out with a full Red and a couple of Strawberry's in my time and very nice they were too.

Personnally I think on a woman the Redhead traits of pale skin and freckles with the red or strawberry blonde hair are enticing.

the reputed unpredictability of redheads (women obviously) maybe a ruse though as all women are unpredictable.

They smell different you know? Pheronomes and all that - loverly

Redheaded guys though? Chris evans for example - it's not right is it?

To some extent, I think that ginger is the new black. In the current PC climate here's nobody left to descriminate against. So we take a pop at ginger. We probably think it's a bit of harmless fun - but maybe, just maybe, gingers don't like it.

Aww didn't see what the title was.

Personally, I think there is something comical about ginger men. I went to school with a ginger boy and he was really funny.

I do have a slight thing for red head girls. Dated one and also think that out of all of girls aloud, I would pick Nicola Roberts

funnily enough... the guy made the point that red haired women are actually very attractive and find different problems to the red haired men.

Red haired men (these are his words not mine) are typically geeky.

Chris Evans did nothing to dispell this image of course.

I've just remembered, years ago I did Tae Kwon-Do in North Wales. Everybody was white except one guy. His mother was ginger Welsh and his father was Indian and owned the local Indian Restaurant - their child had orange skin as well as ginger hair. But, as he was a mental fighter nobody mentioned it

Well actually Andy, according to this programme. Gingers are still considered geeks. They are not used anywhere in the fashion industry for fear of putting people off the brand. Have you even seen a ginger male model.? its quite amazing this day and age isn't it but i did'nt realise what a hard time they have.

I have the misfortune of being a past redhead.

I was born blond, was blond up to about the age of 6 or 7, then I turned ginger and was ginger until the age of 11 or 12 when I then turned my current brown colour.

There's a new guy in my office who's VERY Ginger. (or should that be GINGER!!!!) he laughs about it.. caught him cooking soup in the microwave the last day.. "Carrot and Ginger" "Do you think my hair stays this colour naturally?" he said

    lol

nothing against red heads/gingers.. And red head girls are

That was another point he made......

to be accepted or try and be part of the crowd he would be comical. He said that was fine until the joke laughter ran out and then they would resort to the usuals, carrot top, duracell, etc etc...

He is now a stand up comedian!

Re: Fu5k Off ... im ginger

There's a difference between "red-head" and "ginger" (tell me I'm nasty, but I find the pronunciation that rhymes with "winger" amusing) – red is red with a hint of brown, while ginger is more orange... There's also strawberry blonde which is .

Think that ginger guys have a hard, hard life to lead...

Think that ginger girls can be quite cute – just so long as they don't have out-of-control hair.

Overall though, I think that Carol Smillie look-alike hair to be best.

My wife is a red-head, and I am a crypto-ginger (Irish dad, asian mum). We hope that our first-born will have red hair. I don't understand why people seem to have a problem with it these days.

My type of guy that I went for was the olive skin latin types till a ginger chatted me up at dancing a few years back, but I throught give him a chance as he was a lovely dancer and I throught sweet and a little bit shy, boy was I wrong he was such a tart women all over the place, he never had problems getting them, it helped he could dance as in the real world he would never would had that degree of success, but I think he has settled down with a very attractive lady, me I am back to my latin types but non dancing.
