unfortunately it sounds like you have a damaged cell in your batteryt and it will only get worse.
If you don't want to replace it..roughly 30 quid, you could always buy a recharging unit from halfords at about 30 quid?????
seems like an easy answer
To my horror, my car went kaputt the other day when I was 30 miles from home.I didn't think it could be my battery it is usually really good.
When the RAC man came, he confirmed that it was my battery and started my battery straight away.
Is there any thing I can do to make it more efficient?
Where is the best place to get one of those mobile battery starters/chargers?
Thanks

He started your battery? How does that work?
Er...no. Almost all modern batteries are sealed units and they will work until the electrochemical materials wear out.Is there any thing I can do to make it more efficient?

What do you mean by 'mobile'? The only things I am aware of need to be plugged in to the mains electricity, or to a generator...
One reason a battery fails, is it is not been properly recharged
Common faults - loose fan belt, loose connectors, duff alternator
Another possible problem something is being “left on”. Modern cars can have very complicated circuits, which should “shut down” after a certain time, if they go wrong, diagnosing the problem can be a difficult and expensive process
