    Thanks for the link. I thought the performance wasn't bad.

    I'd like to take a moment to point out what a complete dilbert Mick Jagger looks like on stage; he's got no dancing sense at all, doing his punches and his chicken walk. Given the enormous quantity of great pop songs for which he is half responsible, no-one even notices. Why one should suppose that an ability to look smooth on stage is crucial to a good performance, I don't know.

    I think Amy Winehouse looks terrible. Her tattoos alone make me cringe. She doesn't seem comfortable performing, but frankly, I don't give a stuff. Her singing and her songwriting were unsurpassed last year. Only Christina Aguilera came anywhere near her.

    I hope she manages to escape the shackles of addiction and - if that is what it takes - the shackles of her Ultimate Pillock husband. But Billie Holliday couldn't, and neither could Janis Joplin.

    Wow, there's a thought - a duet between Joplin and Winehouse...
