Re: Friday 31st Aug - Sunday 2nd September

Had a fabulous weekend in Kirriemuir - lovely company, great tunes and workshops and a crackingly good dancefloor, especially on friday night. Now I want to learn how to do slides just for the next trip there!

Some great dances throughout the weekend, and lots of great dancers to watch as well - especially the cowboy/cowgirl dance...

Unfortunately I totally lost all dancing ability on saturday until 1am, probably as a result of having lots of new technique stuff to think about.

Roll on thursday and a huge round of applause to all from Inverness, and especially John & Noel (Quiet? I think not!) for providing a fantastic weekend's entertainment.

Isn't it though? I wonder how many more fab floors like that are tucked away in smaller hotels in the countryside.
    the cowboy/cowgirl dance...
Hee, I'd nearly forgotten about that one

    Glad to hear it
One of my regular friends had already noted how much different my style was - thing is I reckon I am going to be rubbish for ages whilst the connection stuff sinks in. My ability to work with a slot is significantly improved - just need to make sure that I dont make it overly big (I have a tendancy to over compensate with step size)

Thanks for all you help BTW - and yes Noel will be fab - if not so already.

I forgot too about the cowboy/girl dance - top marks

Do you fancy doing a tour Honey?

I must say that I really enjoyed Saturday night at Kirrie.....it was a lovely floor, once I'd had a couple of dances on it, just glad that I'd not had that much to drink beforehand.......Kate, myself and that floor, not a good combination. Nice to see Franck again recovered from his recent illness, Freya and Caro - always a pleasure and I look forward to seeing you a lot more over the next couple of weeks and lovely to see Dazzler back on the scene again.

Great music yet again TB......see ya soon.
