Bloody hell - I've just seen the weather forecast for London.

- 25 degrees and sunny on Sat (so nice and sweaty for Chiswick)
- Showers on Sunday (so nice and wet for Tango Al Fresco)

Can't someone sort the weather out properly for me?

Tango al Fresco will be my first proper tango freestyle maybe my partners should pray for rain.

Please don't say that, after what happened last time (thunderstorms and torrential rain for about half an hour in the middle of the afternoon, with preceding heavy drizzle). We had most of the floor dancing with umbrellas (see here) for the piccies).

That said, it looks to be lovely this weekend, so hopefully I'll see you there. I'm disappointed that the weather puts you lot off Chiswick, but maybe I'll still see a few of you there too.

Not according to the BBC website it's not - 25 degrees and sunny on Saturday yes (so Chiswick looking unlikely - sorry Tessa, Putney's air conditioning is calling to me!), but 22 degrees with a little cloud on Sunday. Sounds perfect to me.

Sadly I have stuff I need to do on Sunday day, so not going to Tango Al Fresco (and haven't started classes yet anyway, so feel it would be a bit of a waste). Maybe next year *sigh*

Does anyone know if the WCS workshop in Bisley is going to be affected by the food and mouth disease thing ?

Cat announced on Wednesday that Marilene had said that in no way is Foot & Mooth affecting the ground that we will be dancing on so Bisley will be on as usual. See you there.

no, the town hall caretakers put the radiators on in winter.. and autumn...and spring...and summer...... Not very green.

No, the floor still "sweats" and gets sticky.

Nuts, I'll probably try Chiswick, it's closest.

I'll just take 15 T-shirts, a fan, two towels and an industrial-sized bottle of deodorant. Hmmm, normal dancing stuff then.

And of course, I'll absolutely not recommend anyone bringing any talc to put on their shoes in case they get stuck in the quagmire that is the Blues Room, as such a thing is Evil, and should Not Be Promoted.

Commis Chef and I are going to Utopia at Twickenham on friday, the Beach Ball At Hove Town hall on Saturday (first event with these organisers but the venue is great and has a very fast floor - Yum) and Bisley WCS on Sunday.

It just happens to be at a time when I am busy clearing my house so its sale can go through, I have just developed a blister under a toe (too much information eh), and my work has just increased to an insane level. It is like life has a crisis detector so it knows the exact time to pile things on you to first spoil your fun and then make the situation desparate.

It will certainly be a weekend with a big pile of washing to do before heading off to Beach Boogie.

Sorry, but i haven't got supernatural powers. If i did have them then i wouldn't be doing a 12 hour shift on such a glorious day (In fact i probably wouldn't be working at all )

Toniught I'll be joining the Cool Catz crew at the Summer Ball at Winsford. On Sunday I'm teaching a Blues workshop, otherwise I'd be at Chris's WCS workshop in Crewe. He's teaching with Charlotte, a champion dnacer in her own right. Its a real must for any WCS dancers in the N West.

It was very hot at the Casbah last night, even with 7 fans blowing.
Floor was very slow.


I may go to Chiswick and stay out of the blues room, which is usually a sauna.

It's such a shame having to do that as the music I like is played in the small room.

If only they would get some security and have the door open. Or is it the noise which would escape?
