I think that the move could be ok if it happened in the blues room with someone you are familiar with - but try as I might, whichever room I am in, if I do try to do the move - I cant!!

So apologies in advance if this moves happens to you leaders - It is not intentional (well maybe it could be intentional if I work out how to carry it off )

Glad it isn't just me that this happens to... Fun to see the luck on the guy's face tho when your hand is in his pocket.....

Lavender is better than body odour! I tried unsuccessfully to avoid dancing with a particular lady because she had dreadful body odour. But alas she got me on the dance floor and after I had to change shirts and wash my arms because I smelt as bad as her. Thankfully she is nolonger dancing!!!!

Slightly off thread. But I would also like to know others' opinions on perfume, aftershave etc.

You can recognise some people 100 yards away from their smell. Perfume, like jewelry etc is good in a non dancing environment, but do you find perfume distracting whilst dancing?

Only for the scents I dislike.
It made me decide I wasn't going to wear strong perfume when dancing, in case mine did the same to others.

Please don't! I have the bad accidental habit of letting my hand drop to belt leve when I spin at times - it's bad when I inadvertantly get a belt buckle but I'd hate to think of the reactions I'd get if I got what's underneath instead!

The only unstuitable clothing for me is a pair of gorgeous long dangly earings and a kind of clip on belt thing made out of chains that I've got on a pair of combats.

The earrings (while being too short to hit my partner) whack me on the teeth whenever I spin (so the first thing my partner sees after I spin is a really startled and alarmed experssion on my face), while the belt spins to its own time, hitting men in the crotch as I spin.

I have a tendancy to squeeze a mans ass when he puts me into (oh i forgot what its called) but his arm is on your shoulder and your right hand is holding his hand up at shoulder height and you are both facing forward, you step back and he pushes you forward and spins you out, you are supposed to keep your left hand out of the way but mine always goes to the mans butt and if i know him or he is cute, i squeeze it. SUCH A BAD HABIT AND I CANT BREAK IT.

There is a difference between smothered in aftershave and smelling clean and sexy. Clean and sexy does it for me, but it happens rarely.

Please ladies - what aftershaves should I wear to impress you? I know that "less is more", but any suggestions would be appreciated

Brut, Old Spice or Joop? (my personal favourite)

Brut. I actually love that smell, it reminds me of my dad, he always used to wear it when I was a little girl. Fahrenheit is one of my favourites.

I hate both of these smells. Any Gucci aftershave is good for me...but just a hint.

Heres a tip for you boys. Spray the aftershve in the air and walk through it.

    Re: Unsuitable clothing?

I usually wear Woman DKNY when I go dancing, as its a refreshing smell. I wore Beautiful for years and years but I suddenly went off it. I wondered if they changed how they made it.
I don't like many perfumes on me and i'm struggling to find another that I like.

My mood will affect my perfume choice - Ombre Rose is what I generally wear but if needing a bit of a lift white linen - reminds me of my Grandmother a truely amazing woman and if feeling all classy and elegant Chanel No5 - also wear this one when feeling strong or wanting to feel strong

    Re: Unsuitable clothing?

I never used to bother at all with smellies.
So I guess I'd smell of shower gel, shampoo and deodorant. Even my aftershave is unscented.
Relatively recently though, I've started wearing a little Gucci aftershave. You know, just spray it in the air and walk through it. I was surprised how much I like it actually, after so many years of not using any.
