I was never very happy with the choices in this poll and with recent claims of musical preferences on the forum, I thought it was time for another...
Some of my categories over-lap, but that's cool. Please let me know though if I've missed anything which is not covered by one of the choices I've given.
So, it's an easy question...
What types of music do you particularly like Modern Jive dancing to?
Let your mind go and your body will follow. – Steve Martin, LA Story
Poll would have been better public. Helps understand where people on the forum are comming from
Someone definately going to shoot me down in flames here but.... I'll say it anyway... SHOW TUNES!! I love dancing to "All that Jazz" from Chicago!!
Okay - let the snide remarks flow......
Dear World.
I abjectly apologise for giving woodface an opening of such a nature. I should have realised what the consequences would be, and have no excuses to offer. I humbly apologise for my actions, and am sincerely sorry for anyone who has suffered emotional trauma as a result of my thoughtless words.
My thoughts are with you all during this difficult time.
SC
I like to have a go at every thing
But
I don't like doing MJ to 70/80 disco clasic's, Northern soul or Motown, I like a handbag dance to these and if its Tango I like to watch if there are people doing Tango, if not a MJ dance with attitude, not, NOT Tango
Is it just me or is the poll broken? I can only see the light green and light blue bars...
If a tune is dancable why does it matter what genre it is.That is one of the beauties of MJ.You can do it to any genre of music and to music with a vast tempo range.
Granted some individuals will have a preference for a particular genre but I think that if you like music and dance the majority of us will do it to anything.
Of course it matters!!Something that can make the difference between a good and bad night is if you like that particular music. There are songs that I wont dance to. Im sure im not alone in that.
I cant stand swing for example but love RnB songs, so if I went dancing and had a night of swing I would be disappointed (unless advertised as a swing night of course)
