And one's only funny if you spell it differently!
Anyway - it's Friday. Fancy a lego cuppa?

Do the rules say you have to be alive?
Just followed the links from a group about the BBC Proms 2007, which seems to link to various chains of people who are famous musicians and conductors but are, equally famously, no longer with us. (Ludvig van Beethoven, Thomas Tallis, Franz Joseph Haydn, Edward Elgar, Henry Wood etc.)
Where are they logging on from?
Love dance, will travel
OK, I got suckered in... another invitation plus knowing that there is a group for Clapham dancers on there and I joined up today... but I will not be spending lots of time on there, repeat to self, I will not be spending lots of time on there...
well, its reay not that sort of site - you check now and again of course - but i see it as a way to keep contact with people well above and beyond post-its notes with their phone number that you can never find
well how good am I...turns out this has already been thought of...http://www.spock.com/
it is a search engine but unlike google which searches for names on pages (and will not make you easy to find if your name is very common) this searches by lots of other criteria relating to people: social networking sites, news sites, university sites etc..
can anyone find themselves ? its still beta i think...so it can only get better
Well, I've joined.
Because I don't spend enough leisure time (ahem) online at the moment...
Heh, I've found this description of the "JANGO" group on facebook:
Spooky...Description:
A Secret Society dedicated those who are above and beyond of what some may call themselves "normal". An elite group of extraordinary individuals.
I noticed the "Metro", that daily bastion of the news has a story of a couple whose unborn baby has a facebook page, entirely against facebook rules - which they don't mention. I also notice CJ has not used his real name Seriously though, i think it would be nice it facebook became a user built phonebook - where you can see truthful information about people and lookup their phone number, address etc.. I have my phone number up there but ive not noticed anyone else doing that - is there a lack of trust of facebook or the internet in general ? I wouldnt want facebook to become like mySpace
What, you think it should be CJ not Cee Jay? Well, fair enough.
Why is Facebook different to MySpace? (or, for that matter, bebo, LinkedIn or the other 2,000 social networking sites around?) - it's the same principle innit? The only real difference seems to be in demographic. So it's as "safe" or "trustworthy" as anywhere - here, for example.
What does this mean please ??
??? is now a Zombie and has bitten you! You can bite him back, and bite more other chumps!
--ooOoo--
Age is a question of mind over matter, if you don't mind, it doesn't matter
Leroy (Satchel) Paige (1906-1982)
Mickey Mouse's girlfriend, Minnie, made her film debut, along with Mickey, in "Steamboat Willie" on November 18, 1928.
That date is recognized as her official birthday.
It's a silly game, you've got to collect bites or something, like a pyramid scheme... I think I'll de-install mine, I'll never get to the heights of Zombiehood reached by some other people.
more nonsense from the world of "publish something and get sacked". This time on mySpace - a judge was sacked for using the expression "breaking my foot off in a prosecutor's ass", which - slang expression aside - is exactly what he does for a living.
oh Those funny Americans.
see here
The funny thing is, the court administrator said "We're not suggesting that when he did sit in for the judge, he displayed any kind of bias, but his web page represents his state of mind." In other words; his thoughts away from his job are still relevant even though there is no evidence he was anything other than good at his job. How does someone else know that what you type is representative ? I thought actions were better things to go on
From the same site:
Many Facebook users expose all to strangers | The Register
Interesting how many people are dumb enough to provide personal info to complete random strangers.
David quickly double-checks his privacy settings...
Watch out for someone stealing your identity though.
have you seen myspace ? its a bit of a mess to say the least.
Oh and the number of people search sites is increasing i see - not only do we have spock.com there is also wink.com and pipl.com - anyone willing to test and gave us a result (i tried mine and i don't exist on spock - most of page 1 of wink IS me though)
