The floor needs a little attention, but the venue offers a typical venue run by John Baker. Well organised, well thought out, nice atmosphere, very welcoming.

I intend to be at the next event

I got lost too, but Matt gave me directions so I was all good! You should have phoned fletch, she'd have got you there!

This could potentially be a great venue. It was a shame that the floor was so sticky though - even talc didn't help much.

Unfortunately I wasn't feeling the music either so it wasn't an amazing night for me

This the first time I'd been to one of John Baker's venues, must that it was well organised and I know John did what he could with the floor.

But for me I couldn't get into the music and I think that was down to me. not the DJ. So I feel I didn't do the ladies who danced with me justiice.

Hopefully John will run another freestyle when my is more focused on dancing.

I enjoyed Friday night at Coventry. Took me a while to get into it but spent a little while catching up with Imogen and Tom Baker. Special thanks for Fletch for waiting for me

Thanx to everyone for my dances and to Joe and PawPlay for playing! The Poi Poi's are fab!

I'd second that, quite possibly the most random uninspiring modern jive set I've heard recently with a floor seemingly coated in treacle. Long slow queue at the bar at peak times and temperatures that made it seem like summer had actually arrived. Music seemed to improve a lot in the last half hour.

Sort that lot out and it'd be an excellent venue.

I found it hard to get into the music, as for me it was to hit and miss, also the floor was a problem, but John himself was great and really made a effort to get around to everyone. I still prefer the other venue in Coventry, Ian's one. I will try again as it does take a while for a place to take off but there was a good turn out.

Yes I reckon it'll be much better next time and I'll be giving it another go.

As I passed one of the comments I'll start. As I'm not a DJ I don't know the names of everything so I'll comment on the ones I know.

    Because of you - Neyo
    Lil star - Kelis
    New Soes - Paulo Nutini

    Remember dancing to these

Heatwave - martha reeves and the vandelas
The love I lost -harold melvin and the bluenotes
    The Snake - al wilson

Best ask Fletch about that lot, very popular at weddings apparently usually sometime around when they cut the cake...

Dancin in the moonlight - Thin Lizzie
Everybody wants to rule the world -tears for fears
Makes me wonder - maroon 5
The sweet escape - gwen stefani - Played to death??

Remember dancing to at least two of these. First 3 Good unusual choices

Can't comment on the rest as I can't put a title to the music.
